Hello! I'm Allison, and I bring extensive experience in soil science, wetland delineation, GIS, and higher education to the table. I am a perpetual learner and passionate educator, dedicated to sharing my knowledge and work experience with my students. My background includes four years of service in the U.S. Navy, followed by over a decade of experience with the U.S. Department of Agriculture, where I've held positions as a Soil Conservationist, Soil Scientist, and Cartographer. Since 2017, I've also shared my expertise as an adjunct instructor at my alma mater, Virginia Wesleyan University. My degrees include a B.S. in Earth and Environmental Science from Virginia Wesleyan University and an M.S. in Soil and Water Science with a minor in Agronomy from the University of Florida. I am seeking opportunities to contribute to impactful projects and mentor the next generation of environmental professionals. In my free time, I enjoy spending time outdoors with my family, pursuing hobbies such as hiking, boating, biking, and birding.
I also assist my husband, Greg, with various aspects of his business, Hammer Environmental LLC. I created his website and branding, help manage the social networks, assist with the planning and coordination of training sessions, and serve as a trainer when requested.
